Felt for High Resilience ApplicationsSAE F-1 Felt has the highest durability of any industrial felt, a density range of 0.32-0.36 g/cm³ (539.4-606.8 lb/yd³), and 95% wool content. Highly resilient, F-1 felt is recommended for uses where impact, pressure, friction, and abrasion are constant. Washers, wicks, door bumpers, and polishing blocks are among its many possible applications. While not recommended if you require a soft or pliable material, F-1 is great for low viscosity oil absorption and retention. These sample sizes allow you to select the right grade before buying a larger order, or add to your swatch library.

Please note: Our industrial felts are made with wool that comes from free roaming sheep. Although felt is washed and carbonized there may be some vegetable matter and other debris lingering in the coat. Due to the natural origin of the material slight color variation will occur from lot to lot. Sheep hair comes in a variety of beige and gray tones, making it difficult to guarantee consistent color between rolls without dying the material.

It rusted already

UPDATE. This is a couple of months old and it is rusting staining our counter top. Why in the world would they make a high usage product that will rust?
Our kitchen got new counters and sink. I needed something to keep my soap and sponge in and this is perfect. Holds my dawn, my hand soap and sponge.

Love that it drains into the sink!

Loving it so far! I put water in it to show how it drains into the sink. But when the water that comes off of the scrub brushes and sponges from regular usage, it does drain like it’s supposed too. There is some water that sits there but for the most part, it does drain into the sink. The little bit of water that sits there, ends up evaporating. It fits the 26 fl. Oz. Of dish soap, which is great! It holds the sponges in place. Helps to keep things around the sink clean. I had another storage container that held my stuff in but it didn’t drain into the sink so mold would form and I would have to throw stuff away. I like the fact this one has a drain, so that water doesn’t stand on the bottom and create mold after awhile. It’s easy to assemble. The quality is great! It’s easy to clean!// 8/23/25 love it so much, I bought a 2nd one for the other side of my sink! It’s also easy to clean as well.
