The skin is made of Nylon for optimal durability and grip. Nylon skins are excellent suited for wet and heavy snow. The X Sin 45mm NATO is intended for long and hard expeditions where the skin is exposed to rough handling.
This skin has been used by the military and Expeditions, and has been relied up on time and time again because it delivers.
Skins from Åsnes are delivered in a practical bag customized for climbing skins, which can be attached to your backpack or belt. The bag has perforated fabric on the bottom, which ensures that the skin dries and the water flows out of the bag.
Åsnes short skin is equipped with a skin-protector in front to avoid ice/snow filling the skin and to secure the skin on long distances.
Maintenance and storage
To retain the quality of the skin as long as possible, we recommend to always keep the skins clean, immediately dry them after usage, and apply skin glue and impregnation periodically. Additionally, store the skins in the accompanying bag.
