Description:
Cortec® VpCI®-389 is a fast drying water-based removable coating that provides multimetal corrosion prevention and has excellent UV resistance and salt-spray resistance. Leaves a dry, slightly tacky film. This product provides long-term indoor protection (up to 5 years*) and short to medium-term (6-24 months*) unsheltered outdoor protection.

Packaging:
Available in 5 gallon pails. Store indoors and out of direct sunlight at 40-100ºF. Do not let the product freeze. Contact Us to get a quote for this product in drums.
How to Use:
Cortec® VpCI®-389 can be diluted with water for application purposes, most dilution ranges are between 1:1 to 1:8. The surface must be prepared before applying. Mix VpCI®-389 prior to use. It can be applied by spray, brush, roll or dip. Normal WFT of 3-6 mils yields 1-2 mils DFT. Use water to clean up tools and overspray. VpCI®-389 can be easily removed with alkaline cleaners, such as Cortec® VpCI®-414. The coating should be completely dry before placing the part into storage.
Typical Applications:
Use for equipment lay-up, parts processing protection, overseas shipping, maintenance repairs and parts storage. Protects aluminum, steels, cast iron, tin, copper and alloys.
