Jefferson Airplane formed in 1965 in the San Francisco Bay area during the summit of the counter culture sweeping the country, and soon became became a household name with appearances on radio, television, and top selling albums.

Jefferson Airplane's debut show was on August 13, 1965 at the Matrix nightclub in San Francisco, then went on with several successful tours including performances at the Berkeley Folk Festival, Monterey Jazz Festival, Monterey Pop Festival, Woodstock, and Altamont.

They recorded hit singles such as "White Rabbit," "Volunteers," "Embryonic Journey" and "Somebody to Love" and smash albums such as Volunteers, Surrealistic Pillow, Bark and Takes Off.

The band featured: Grace Slick (vocals), Marty Balin (vocals and guitar), Paul Kantner (vocals and guitar), Jorma Kaukonen (guitar), Jack Casady (bass), and Spencer Dryden (drums). Founding members also included Signe Toly Anderson and Skip Spence. Later lineups of Jefferson Airplane included Joey Covington on Drums, and Papa John Creach on violins.

Around 1973 they disbanded, forming a generation of new bands including Jefferson Starship, Hot Tuna, and more. In 1989 a short reunion occurred, 1996 the band was inducted to the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in Cleveland, Ohio, and in 2016, the band earned a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award.

Their first compilation album, The Worst Of Jefferson Airplane includes the band's hits up to 1970. The compilation peaked at #12 on the Billboard 200. It was released after a period of inactivity, due to internal conflicts and to certain band members becoming involved with side projects and solo projects. Includes Top 40 hits "Somebody To Love" and "White Rabbit."

Beware of a sticky detail
I was looking for a way to organize my kitchen soap, sponges, and bottle brushes. This soap dispenser checked off all of my boxes with a nice stainless steel design making it a great addition to my kitchen counter. Question: after all of these positive aspects why only two stars? Answer: there is a sticker placed onto the dispenser that is so sticky that it is a formidable foe to remove (please review the attached photo). I liked this soap dispenser but the semi permanent sticker is the deal breaker to an otherwise nice product.

Keeps the Sink Area Neat and Organized
This has been really helpful for keeping my sink area clean. The soap dispenser pumps great! The sponge and brush holders keep everything off the counter so that really helps. The stainless steel looks nice and hasn’t shown any rust so far. It’s compact but holds everything I use daily, and cleaning it is easy. Great little upgrade if your sink area always feels messy. edited to add: took me about 45 minutes to finally get the sticker label off it was stuck directly on the stainless steel so I had to be really careful peelng it off

Stainless Steel 3-in-1 Sponge/Brush Holder with soap dispenser for Kitchen
This is an ideal item to organize your sink areas. Perfect for kichens but also for bathroom use. I love the built in soap dispenser. The one I currently have doesn't have a dispenser. And the big liquid soap container is always falling over. Mine irack is bigger but this one is more organied. Easy to clean. stainless steel. Smaller foot print so it sits right near the faucet easily. 7.3"L x 5.3"W x 6.5"H And, it has drainage holes in the front rack to keep your sponges fresh by quickly drying. I was going to put this in one of our smaller kitchens in a guest house, but I may just snag it for my kitchen! Good value. Priced right.
