The Benson Amps Preamp is a modern classic of amp-like tone and saturation. This Portland, Oregon-made preamp pedal follows up in a long tradition of handmade tube amp excellence from Benson Amps, namely, their Chimera tube amplifier. Tube amp-style preamp boost and saturation breathes throughout the Benson Preamp with all the authentic tone of Benson's handmade tube treasures.

Within the Benson Preamp, Benson utilizes FET transistors to recreate the authentic tube tone of their Chimera thirty-watt amplifier. Across the Preamp's streamlined, simplified EQ and drive-shaping controls, the pedal summons shimmery, chunky preamp tones that swing with plenty of touch sensitivity. Work the pedal's independent Drive and Volume controls to introduce thicker tube-like saturation or glassy, full-bodied boost by punching one control and inverting the other. A reactive and reliable Treble and Bass EQ scheme shapes the Preamp to taste to fit into any rig for great, tube-like charm and character. True bypass footswitching and standard nine-volt center negative power supply requirements bring the Benson Amps Preamp to any board.

Now, if Amazon could make a dog bed that could actually train the dog - that would be incredible!
