Each pair is hand-woven using durable cord made from the fiber of traditional Japanese washi paper—naturally water-resistant and breathable. The sandals absorb sweat and quickly release moisture through evaporation, making them a pleasure to wear barefoot or with socks.

The crossed straps provide a secure fit and make walking comfortable, even when wearing socks.

Designed with sustainability in mind, the Washi Paper Sandals are machine-washable (use a laundry net), highly durable, and long-lasting. When they eventually wear out, they can return to the earth as they are fully biodegradable. They do not emit harmful substances when burned, making them gentle on both people and the environment.
