This is a American Sycamore bowl blank ready to turn or carve. It is maple-like in appearance, with the sapwood a tan color and the heartwood a slightly darker tan to peach color. This piece has a lot of color variation and character throughout.

The wood is fully air-dried with moisture content under 10%. This piece has an a couple of fine open cracks that you should reinforce with CA glue prior to turning. See photos for close-ups.
