The year was 2010, and URWERK decided it was time to end the reign of one of our most essential and iconic watches, the UR-103. To celebrate the closing out of the 103's production, we signed off in style with the limited edition UR-103T "Shining T" timepiece.

This edition of just thirty-three watches is a masterpiece of URWERK's engineering and design, and we are proud to offer it once again to collectors and connoisseurs worldwide via our Certified Pre-Owned collection.

The UR-103T "Shining T" is a watch that defies convention and pushes the boundaries of what is possible in modern timepiece design. Its distinctive shape is both visually striking and functional. The shape is not the only thing that sets this watch apart from other watches. The "Shining T" is also an engineering marvel, featuring a complex system of rotating hour satellites that display the time in a unique and captivating way. The time is displayed on four revolving satellite discs, which rotate on a central axis to indicate the hours. The minutes are read from the timing track at the bottom of the watch, where the wondering hour points to each minute zero-sixty, East to West, like the passing of the sun. This visual ballet completes the dynamic and futuristic design.

The UR-103T "Shining T" is crafted from the finest materials, including a case made from 18k gold treated with our now signature AlTiN (Aluminium, Titane, Nitride) coating for a rich black effect and a case back in grade 5 titanium. The sapphire crystal face provides an unobstructed view of the intricate satellite carousel inside. Look closely, and you will see that this special edition has sapphire crystal hour satellite discs for the first time. Creating a stunning look against the case's glossy black and the carousel's matte black behind it.

On the case back, you will find a power reserve indicator and a Chrono-Meter with dual 15-minute and seconds dial facilitating accurate time-setting. Plus a Fine Tuning Screw; In a nod to Abraham-Louis Breguet, a Precision Adjustment screw allows the user to adjust the watch's timing (about +/- 30 seconds per day).

Felix Baumgartner - "In 2010, we finalized the first UR-103T "Shining T". The first piece of the last 103 models. It was difficult to imagine that the final chapter in the history of the 103 collections had been written; however, we were obliged so that we could launch our next challenge!"
