Medium crimson — the elegant, classic colour of a Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon from the 2024 vintage, with the clarity and precision that distinguished Terra Rossa vineyard selection and 18 months of careful oak maturation deliver.
Aroma
Expressive and evocative — briar, forest floor, and Mediterranean herbs with a bright core of mulberry and blueberry fruit aromatics. The classic Coonawarra Cabernet Sauvignon aromatic profile at its most complex and immediately captivating, with the elegant spicy cedar notes of Hogshead and barrique maturation adding depth and dimension.
Palate
Full and supple — lovely flavours of plum, cassis, and briar with a lovely umami nuance that adds complexity and intrigue. Supple tannins and a long, elegant finish. The 18 months in new and used Hogshead and barrique providing the spicy cedar integration that defines the Katnook Estate style at its most refined.
