Description:
Cortec® EcoAir® VpCI®-423 is a water based gel that effectively removes rust and oxides from steel, iron, brass and copper. When used as recommended, EcoAir® VpCI®-423 will not adversely affect most paints, plastics, wood, textiles, ceramics or rubber. It is formulated to cling on vertical and overhead surfaces for rust and oxide removal. It contains flash corrosion inhibitors to prevent flash rust during the rust removal process. NSF Category A3 Registration #148016.

Packaging:
EcoAir® VpCI®-423 Rust Remover is packaged in 14 oz. (396 g) compressed air spray cans. Sold in a box containing 12 cans. Also available in 16 oz bottles as EcoClean® VpCI®-423 and in 5 Gallon pails as VpCI®-423.

EcoAir® Technology:
EcoAir® spray cans cans are powered by compressed air. This innovative technology consists in a four-layer EcoPouch inserted into a can. Then the can is pressurized and the EcoPouch is filled with the liquid. As the valve is depressed the surrounding pressure expels the bag’s internal fluids until the product is used up. EcoAir® products are non-flammable and contain no chemical propellants. They can be sprayed in any direction, even upside down.

How to Use:
Remove loose or flaking rust and then apply EcoAir® VpCI®-423 to the metal surface to be treated. Let the product stand for 10-15 minutes and rinse with Cortec® VpCI®-414 or similar alkaline cleaner to ensure a clean, rust free metal surface. Retreat as necessary. Do not allow the product to dry. Surface may be covered in plastic wrap to prevent drying.

Typical Applications:
Use for in-process rust removal for parts and metal stock. The gel consistency makes Cortec® EcoAir® VpCI®-423 ideal for rust removal in hard to reach, vertical and overhead locations. Applications include automotive, marine and manufacturing equipment.
