The Trevor Project is the world’s largest suicide prevention and crisis intervention organization for LGBTQ young people who have a significantly higher risk of suicide and depression - especially if they are bullied or rejected by their peers and family for their identities.

Through a toll-free telephone number, they operate The Trevor Lifeline which is the only 24/7 suicide prevention helpline explicitly aimed at LGBTQ+ youth. They also have a confidential service that offers trained counselors.

Additionally, through legislation, litigation, and public education, The Trevor Project is the leading advocate for LGBTQ youth mental health in preventative and intervention efforts at the federal, state, and local levels to address factors that place LGBTQ youth at a higher risk of suicide.
