In order to achieve the coveted "10-Top" classification, a PRS guitar's maple top must display pronounced figuring consistently across its surface, which is just what this gorgeous PRS McCarty 10 Top in Dark Cherry Sunburst does.
The body of the McCarty 10-Top boasts a classic solidity, carved from mahogany and topped with a stunning figured maple 10-Top that showcases the beauty of maple's grain. The neck of the McCarty 10-Top is cut from mahogany into a comfy and asymmetrical "Pattern " profile, noted for featuring a shape that moves as you move with it. This unique carve, designed to optimize comfort and performance, is complemented by a beautiful dark rosewood fingerboard with PRS Bird inlays, and 22 Medium Jumbo frets.
PRS McCarty LT pickups are responsible for the tonal output of this stunning PRS. These pickups, made specifically to evoke the warmth and clarity of their vintage predecessors, these pickups offer a versatile range that's furthered by a 2-knob control layout, which includes push/pull coil-tap functionality.
Hardware components include an adjustable bridge coupled with a PRS 2-Piece stoptail, and vintage-style non-locking tuners with wing buttons. This 10-top features PRS Hybrid Hardware, a combination of nickel and brass components found on the guitar.
Identification as a "10-Top" means a discreet "10" marking will be situated on the upper right corner of the headstock's rear. Finished in a Dark Cherry Sunburst, achieved through a process of applying gloss nitro over cellulose CAB, the guitar epitomized the PRS ethos of paying utmost attention to the details, and comes complete with a hard case included.
