Domaine de la Motte's vineyards for the Petit Chablis are in the Hautes Côtes, at the top of the slopes just above the Chablis classified plots, so the Chardonnay grapes achieve good ripeness there.
Taste guide: a pleasing waft of wood smoke with crisp green apple on the nose is followed by ripe lemon, a touch of stone fruit and a hint of minerality on the finish.
