We love the solid beeswax body fragrances!!! Marketed as “cologne” or “perfume”, we combine them in this listing because if you appreciate one of these fragrances, you probably would appreciate like to know about all of them!

ALL of our solid fragrances are made by local Messner Bee Farm (Raytown, MO) with wax from Kansas City area hives. The wax seals in the essential oils, and the sunflower oil is moisturizing and makes the perfume just the right texture. Fits in a bag so easily, and you don't have to worry about it leaking since the warmth of your finger activates it! Apply just like normal cologne or perfume to the sides of your neck and the inside of your wrists. 

The “COLOGNES” are packaged in a round, palm sized pot that can easily be repurposed once you have exhausted the fragrance. The Messner cologne line is as popular with women as they are with men, and includes 5 scents:

- KEEPER is inspired by the admiration of the Messner lead beekeeper, and smells of lemongrass (bees favorite!), and musky koa wood.

- MONARCH is an homage to our Kansas City Monarchs baseball team! The monarch is a very popular pollinator. This solid cologne smells of cedar, vanilla, palo santo, and citrus.

- OZARK is our newest solid scent - it’s a spicy, earthy blend inspired by our memories of time spent in the forests and lakes of the Ozark mountains. It reminds us of lazy summer days and nights spent around a bonfire. We’re excited to pay homage to this important part of our home state of Missouri! Scent notes include tonka, rum, ozone, and a hint of woodsmoke.

- TRUMAN is a nod to our past President from Independence, MO! He used to come to the Messner Bee Farm property for private dinners when there was the best fried chicken restaurant in town! This solid cologne smells of oak, bergamont, and a splash of bourbon.

- ORION is our newest solid cologne — a bold blend of sandalwood and something we like to call New Worlds (Star Trek fans, you know). With a smooth hint of Earl Grey and a trace of musk on the finish, this scent is both grounded and cosmic. Named after the constellation that holds some of the sky’s brightest stars, we created Orion in hopes that it becomes one of yours.

The “PERFUMES” are packaged in a palm sized metal container that resembles a pocket watch. No plastic packaging and beautifully reusable when the solid perfume is exhausted. These 6 fragrances all distinctly have a tiny real flower bud or charm embedded within the solid perfume that complements the handmade artistry of the product.

- AS YOU WISH is inspired by Princess Buttercup (Princess Bride), and smells of raspberry blossoms and freshly foraged sweet berries.

- EARTH LOVER is rich, earthy, complex, and exotic. Think of a walk in the forest after a rainstorm: damp pine with undertones of spicy citrus and sweet florals. Earth Lover is made with frankincense, rose and patchouli.

- JASMINE NECTAR is a balance of jasmine, cassis, rose, bergamot, with a smidge of musk.

- HONEYSUCKLE simply brings you the distinct smell of spring honeysuckle! This fragrance is fresh, sweet, and floral. It’s also our #1 bestseller!

- QUEEN BEE is a delicious balance of oatmeal, honey, and warm vanilla sugar!

- STARDUST is an elegant and alluring fragrance with notes of hibiscus, tonka, and amber. It does contain an eco friendly body glitter for a special touch!

Awesome beeswax facts: Beeswax is a blend of about 300 components and at least 48 contribute to the aroma. It is naturally white but is colored by pigments found in the pollen that bees collect.

Fun fragrance fact: For centuries, a layer of beeswax, or a thin layer of petroleum, jelly has been used on the body before applying a fragrance to act as a preventative layer from the body absorbing the fragrance too quickly, and therefore causing the scent, you replied to last so much longer. This tradition repeated various fashions around the planet, but is most notable in Hollywood where, again, petroleum jelly acted in the same fashion as wax for Hollywood starlets to make their fragrance last longer. Because these solid fragrances are made with a primary base of beeswax they already have this long-lasting power naturally imbued within them! While everyone’s body reacts differently to an individual fragrance, you can expect me to endure for hours without meeting reapplication.
