… Between-times, there’s silence to attend to, setting an edge on hearing, for what happens – dokadok-dok, freight wagons heading north; then that diesel thrum, a fishing vessel, and the first truck, changing down, clears its throat. Soon, the city-stir will say Start here as graylight brings Level 2. What happens now? Today. Then today. And then, today. – From â€At Last – Level 2’ Writing from the eighth and ninth decades of his life, Alan Roddick’s third collection of poetry, Next, examines the past, observes the present and speculates on the future. Anchored in the action of daily life – whether it be a ride in a mirrored elevator or a roadside conversation with a friend – his poems speak of migration, family, friendship, aging and mortality. Next is marked by a rare blend of uncompromising vision and deep compassion. Here is poetry that delights in warmth, humour, wit and grace, that revels in the beauty of the world, that insists on â€anticrepuscular rays’ at twilight even as it’s asking the niggling question: â€Tomorrow, though? …’Roddick’s most simple poems are also his most potent. – Elizabeth Morton, in NZ Poetry Yearbook, 2018 AUTHOR Alan Roddick was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, and emigrated to New Zealand in 1952. He is the literary executor for Charles Brasch and has edited numerous books including Charles Brasch: Selected Poems (OUP, 2015). Next is Roddick’s third book of poetry: his first collection, The Eye Corrects, was published in 1967 and was followed 49 years later with Getting It Right (OUP, 2016)

Azelaic Acid Sunscreen A MUST!!!! BEST sunscreen!!!
Style: Acne/Rosacea Prone Skin
Finally!!!!! I have found a sunscreen that actually helps my skin!! I have tried so so so many! Around 25 different types! From $-$$$$! This one is so great! It is still a sunscreen and feels a bit of a sunscreen at first but once it has set it is amazing! I would absolutely recommend! I have acne prone, dry, sensitive skin and this has not broken me out isn't heavy and hasn't inflamed my skin. It has actually improved my skin. I like the lower list of ingredients as well. I use Retin-a 0.1% (at night) and use a moisturizer AM&PM (person and covey DMl) under this. I would say it isn't a stand alone moisturizer. Would recommend this! And will be buying another one once this one is out!
Pros:
Liquid/watery consistency
Minimal ingredient list
Works great with makeup
Layers nicely
No white cast
Easy to remove
Nice packaging
Good price point
Great for acne/acne prone skin
Flaky skin approved
Not shiny
Actually helped my skin
Azelaic acid
Cons:
Slightly like applying sunscreen at first

Great product
Style: Acne/Rosacea Prone Skin
Really love this sunscreen. I was using shiseido before which has a nice texture but this one I honestly think is better. It doesn’t burn my eyes when I’m at the gym like other sunscreen too. Don’t usually need to wear a moisturizer with it because it is moisturizing, but I guess some people may consider a con depending on what you’re looking for. I am a super oily girl in general and I would say if you are sensitive to that then maybe try one of their more mattifying ones which I plan to do after I run out of this one. Otherwise, I don’t think I will change brands for SPF after trying this.

Lightweight, no pilling over moisturizer
Style: Acne/Rosacea Prone Skin
I tried this sunscreen after previously using EltaMD UV Clear and I won't go back. I wanted something without octinoxate and that wouldn't pill when layered over my moisturizer (Vanicream Daily Facial Moisturizer). This does the job perfectly. It's lightweight and feels great on my skin. So far, no breakouts.
