The body is made from poplar, a tonewood said to provide a balanced frequency range with clear lows and defined mids. The bolt-on maple neck, shaped in a Modern C profile, delivers smooth playability, while the maple fingerboard with a 9.5-inch radius ensures effortless fretting. With 20 medium jumbo frets, this bass offers comfortable navigation across the neck, from deep grooves to melodic runs. The Fender Standard open-gear tuning machines provide tuning stability, while the Micarta nut helps improve sustain and resonance.
The electronics system features two standard single-coil Jazz Bass pickups, offering the clear articulation and signature growl that players have relied on for decades. With separate volume controls for each pickup and a master tone knob, this bass provides a wide range of tonal options. The standard top-load bridge with chrome steel barrel saddles ensures excellent intonation and sustain.
