The SPD X Wilson S.A.F.E. System 1 Scout Knife is an expertly hand crafted, modern take on the classic hollow handle survival knife. Sam Wilson is a custom maker known for his highly sought after hollow handled knives made in the best knife making traditions from the 70-80s. This series is the next gen evolution of these classic survival knife designs. The SPD X Wilson S.A.F.E. System 1 Scout Knife is precision engineered, rugged, mid-sized fixed blade well suited for long range camping, wilderness survival, hunting and other backcountry uses. This special iteration of the hollow handle survival knife is one of the coolest we've come across and moreover is made in a size and package that can actually be readily used in the field.


The SPD Edition S.A.F.E. System 1 Scout features an American clip point blade grind and a nod to the classic Loveless chute knife, crisp edge blade spine for scraping ferro rods, hard anodized, dark OD Green handle, about 20' of OD Green micro-cord wrap, an exclusive 4-hole lashing style finger guard and paired with the exceptional Sagewood Gear leather sheath specially configured with a ferro rod loop and sharpening stone pocket. We recommend our optional PDW Ti-SFR as the perfect companion accessory to go along with this knife. This hollow handle survival knife hits a sweet spot for usability as a strong everyday carry fixed blade for serious field use.
