This block sits across a fairly sandy part of an alluvial bench that runs through the vineyard. It has extremely low vigor, allowing light through the canopy so that its clusters are constantly dappled with California sunshine. Imagine this warmth while you’re tasting! We’ve been working hard to rebuild soil health, especially in this section, and feel that these efforts are becoming more and more apparent in the enhanced lively quality of this block and the health of the understory.
